General Rules & Fees
• Show is open to all exhibitors. No age restrictions
• Youth age 5 and under may participate in Pee Wee showmanship if
accompanied by someone age 14 or older.
• Entry fees are $ per head and must be included with the entry. Late
entries will be accepted up to the day of the show at the cost of $45 per
head. Entries received without fees, or that are incomplete, incorrect or
illegible, will not be processed. Note: Late entries are not guaranteed a T-shirt. Do not mail late entries.
• Missaukee Agriculture Youth Show will not be responsible for lost or stolen
property or any injuries to persons or livestock for the duration of the show.
• Beef and Heifers born after August 1, 2020 may show.
• Must enter showmanship to enter breed classes
• All breeding steers and heifers must be registered in the name of the youth
or the youth’s family. Registration certificates must be presented at check-in time. Tattoos must correspond to registration papers.
• All steers will be shown by weight with no minimum or maximum weight.
• Showmanship classes will be divided by the age of the exhibitor. Birth date
must be included on entry form. Any animal may only be shown once in
showmanship, except for the Pee Wee class.
• Market heifers may be exhibited during the steer show.

Health Requirements
• All cattle must be dehorned.
• A licensed, accredited veterinarian will inspect all cattle during check in
and weighing time.
• Cattle infected with a communicable disease will not be allowed to exhibit
and may not be brought to the show. This includes, but is not limited to,
warts, ringworm, lice, mange, scab, etc. If animal is found to have
communicable disease, animal will leave the grounds with no refunds.
• TB requirements
• RFID tags must be present and will be checked

Grooming Regulations– Violators will be disqualified
• Use of false tail heads or adding hair or hemp is prohibited.
• Coloring agents, except powder, may be used only on the legs and tail
switch. No coloring agents may be used above the animals flank.
• No forced administration of fluid to create gut gill will be allowed

Dangerous Animals
• Animals must be under the control of the exhibitor at all times
• For safety the show committee will request animals they consider
dangerous to be removed from the show grounds
• Missaukee Summer Classic will not be responsible for any loss by death,
injury or thief.

Check In
• Check in of cattle will be from 8-9am. Exhibitor packets must be picked up
from show office by 10am.
• There is limited indoor stalling and will be on a first come basis. Stalling at
trailers is recommend, along with generators.
• Showmanship ages as of January 1 of the previous year
• Market and breed classes will be determined after check in. Any classes
with 3 or less will be combined.

Showmanship
Open Pee Wee (5 and under)
Cloverbud (5-7)
Senior (16-19)
Intermediate (13-15)
Junior (8-12)
Open Alumni (20 and over)
• Showmanship will be no fit. Exhibitors must show their own animals.

Steer
• Steer will start 30 min after the conclusion of showmanship.
• Market steer/heifer will show by breed and weight.
• Market heifers will be shown by weight and allowed to shown in the breed
show, an additional entry fee must be provided for the breed show.
• Show order; dairy steer, angus, AORB, char comp, chi, hereford, maine
anjou, maintainer, short horn, short horn plus, simmental, crossbred, and
market heifers
• Class breaks will be decided after all entries have been processed

Heifer
• will show 15 min after the conclusion of the champion steer selection
• Will show in order form youngest to oldest
• Commercial heifers will show by weight
• Show order; dairy steer, angus, AORB, char comp, chi, hereford, maine
anjou, maintainer, short horn, short horn plus, simmental, and commercial.
• Class breaks will be decided after all entries have been processed
